My name is Tamryn Rea
I am a wife and a mother to two young adult men. I was born and bread in Pietermaritzburg, Kwa Zulu Natal.
A few months before my wedding my hubby to be was transferred to Richards Bay, so shortly thereafter this is where we started our married life and where both my boys were born, we lived there for 9 years when we were transferred to Port Elizabeth. I have always been a crafter and scrapbooker. There is nothing more rewarding than working with photos of the people you love, creating beautiful keepsakes and capturing special memories. I have always had to work full time. While the boys were young it was easy to pop out in the evenings and attend some scrapbooking lessons and have some “ me” time. For me it was also a good way for daddy to spend some quality time with the boys.
In 2010 we moved to Port Elizabeth where the boys started school and life became very busy with their school and sporting activities, and the time for crafting slowly started getting less and less and as the demands of balancing a working career, school activities and all the sporting activities both at school and in our personal sporting carers scrapbooking came to a grinding holt. As it has always been my dream to be able to be a stay at home mom and I was always looking for ways to “work from home” just to have a bit more flexibility to spend more time with the boys. I always loved to give my boys lovely, themed birthday parties and making them unusual gifts to give to their friends, and this is when I started getting involved in vinyl work and heat pressing. I always hoped that one day I would be able to make a business out of it and leave my full time job, however this was not meant to be and I only did the odd jobs for family and friends and of course for my own use.
I have always been very passionate about having unusual décor, and everything was always personalized, from the kids birthday parties, Pamper parties, gifts to our Christmas lunch tables was always hand made and personalized. Towards the middle of 2022 my husband came home and told me that his company was looking at transferring him to Johannesburg. At this stage in our lives, it was really the last thing I was ready for and not what we were looking to do, we were so settled in PE. My oldest son was busy with his matric year and my youngest was in grade 10, how were we going to up root everything now…..
After a lot of sleepless nights and endless conversations between the four of us we decided that it was something which we had to do, although there were disadvantages and more emotional reasons why we did not want to leave PE the positive far outweighed the negative.
The decision to relocate was made and the preparation was in motion.
In February 2023 we moved into our new home in Centurion and with one son finished school and our decision to place our youngest in College to start his trade in Motor Mechanics it was also time for me to start my dream and for me to do what I have always loved to do. Running my own business, creating, crafting and designing. So this is my story and this is now me living my dream and thanking you for your support and viewing my website.
